How to get long eyelashes

Hi fam!

I asked on Instagram a while back if you would like to know how I have made my eyelashes grow like crazy and almost all of you answered “yes”, (except some douchebags that loves hating on me yet keeps following me…) Guess they will have to close their eyes for this post cuz I’m revelling my beauty secrets whether they like it or not. SUE ME.

First of all. I don’t mean to sound like a smug ass diva but my lashes are currently LONG AS F***. I want to stretch that I was not blessed with amazing long lash-genes, I have never used fake eyelashes because it seems too uncomfortable and I have never done eyelash extensions at the salon because the thought of having to lay down for an hour while someone is poking around my eyes is enough to give me a panic attack. The only secret to my long lashes is spelled EYELASH SERUM. I have tried many lash serums over the years, from the cheapest to the priciest but there is only ONE serum that has given me this amazing result. Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce XLash eyelash serum. I actually saw results already after one week of use and they kept getting longer and longer. Now I have used it for about 4 months and I think my lashes have reached their peak. They’re longer, fuller, thicker and darker. I usually apply it every night but now that I’ve reached a good length it would probably be enough to apply every other or every third day.

I’m also using the brow serum from the same brand. I have used it for about 3 months. It took longer to see results with the brow serum and at first, I thought it wasn’t working but stubborn as I am, I kept using it and after about 2 months I could see a huge difference in my brows. They’re fuller and darker and most importantly I have gotten more strands where they they used to be very thin. I think in general it takes a bit linger to see results in the brows but its wort the wait because it really works.

In these pictures, I’m wearing mascara (obviously). But it’s a basic mascara from Bare Minerals, without fibres or any lengthening effect. I have filled in my brows with the brow wiz and clear brow gel from Anastasia Beverly Hills (I’ve written about those HERE)
In these two pictures I’m wearing no makeup whatsoever.

As I have mentioned I am very cautious when it comes to the ingredients used in cosmetics. A few years ago when eyelash serums had just hit the market it got revealed that many of them contained harmful ingredients and people had very bad reactions to them. Those ingredients have been banned (in the EU at least) and nowadays the eyelash serums don’t contain those ingredients anymore but there are still many suspicious ingredients used in many lash serums on the market. The most common toxic ingredient, still used in many lash serums is “methacrylamide” which is proven to be cancerous and can have a negative effect on the reproductive system. Hypochondriac as I am, I did my research on Xlash and from what I could find out, their serums are more natural than most others on the market and they use more natural ingredients. I wanted to be sure and I wanted the full ingredient list so I emailed X-Lash to get my answers.

This is what I wrote:

” Hello!

I would love to see the full ingredients list for the lahs and brow serum. If that’s not possible, I would at least like to know if any of your products contain methacrylamide?”

This is what they answered:

“Hi Belinda,
Thank you for your email. The Xlash formula is made of several natural plant extracts and other safe ingredients:

AQUA, GLYCERIN, HYDROXYETHYLCELLULOSE, ALCOHOL DENAT, SODIUM CHLORIDE, PANTHENOL, CAPRYLHYDROXAMIC ACID, DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, INOSITOL, PANTHENYL ETHYL ETHER, METHYLPROPANEDIOL, SODIUM HYALURONATE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, POTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, LACTOSE, LACTIS PROTEINUM, ACETYL METHIONINE, ACETYL CYSTEINE, SODIUM CITRATE, BIOTIN, BENZOIC ACID, SODIUM BENZOATE,MYRISTOYL HEXAPEPTIDE-5, MYRISTOYLPENTAPEPTIDE-17, POLYSORBATE 20, PORTULACA OLERACEA EXTRACT, RHODIOLA ROSEA ROOT EXTRACT

Our product does not contain methacrylamide.”

I have analyzed the ingredients myself as well and there are no parabens, sulfates, silicones, EU-Allergens or any other harmful ingredients. I’m so happy to find out it’s safe because I never want to stop using this magic product. This post is not a collaboration although I do have adlinks to the products (cus a girl’s gotta eat). I will only ever recomend priducts that I truly use and love.

It can be a bit confusing but the Lash Serum PRO and the “normal” is exacly the same product just different size. I always buy the PRO because you get more product for the money.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Are you already using an eyelash serum? Have you ever tried the XLash serum? How did it work for you? Let me know in the comments and share your best tips for growing longer, fuller lashes.

Lots of love,

Lisa Belinda
